A look back at the event “Crossed Perspectives: Industry, Robotics and Metallurgy around WAAM/WLAM”

On January 28th, the event “Crossed Perspectives: Industry, Robotics and Metallurgy around WAAM/WLAM” was held at the Hub&Go site in Le Creusot, a key event for stakeholders in industry and additive metallurgy. Co-organized by Robotics Valley, Nuclear Valley, CUCM, UIMM and CMQ ICI, the event brought together approximately 70 participants to discuss innovative topics related to WAAM (Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing) and WLAM (Wire Laser Additive Manufacturing).

The morning was dedicated to roundtables, providing a space for professionals in the sector to exchange ideas and share experiences. The team present was able to follow these enriching discussions, and Rodolphe Bolot shared his expertise during a dedicated presentation.

The afternoon offered the opportunity to discover the practical applications of WAAM and WLAM during a visit to the Laser Hall, as well as the CALHIPSO site with Frédéric Bernard. This allowed participants to see the technologies in action and better understand their potential for industry.

This day strengthened collaborations between industry professionals, researchers, and additive metallurgy specialists, while highlighting the opportunities offered by WAAM and WLAM to meet the challenges of tomorrow.
