The 2026 Annual Meeting of the French Ceramics Group will be held in Dijon

From March 17 to 19, the French Ceramics Group will hold its 2026 Annual Meeting in Dijon, a key event for the scientific community working on ceramic materials. The event is organized by the teams at the ICB Laboratory on the campus of the University of Burgundy Europe, at Polytech Dijon.

For three days, researchers, doctoral students, and industry professionals will gather to discuss the latest scientific and technological advances in the field of ceramic materials. All research topics related to the study of these materials will be addressed through lectures, oral presentations, and scientific discussions.

A comprehensive scientific program

The GFC Annual Meeting provides a valuable opportunity to review recent developments in the field and foster exchanges between academic and industrial stakeholders.

The program will include:

  • invited lectures by renowned specialists in the field,
  • scientific sessions covering various research themes in ceramics,
  • a poster session allowing young researchers to present their work,
  • an exhibitors’ session showcasing the industrial and technological players in the sector.

A competition to recognize young researchers

During these days, the French Ceramics Group (GFC) will also hold its annual competition, designed to recognize the work of young researchers who are members of the GFC.

Three prizes will be awarded:

  • the prize for best thesis,
  • the prize for best poster,
  • the prize for best ceramic photograph.

Social moments in the heart of Burgundy

Beyond the scientific program, several social events will allow participants to discover the local heritage and foster informal exchanges.

Participants will be able to choose between:

  • a visit to the city of Dijon, or a wine tasting at the International City of Gastronomy and Wine in Dijon.
  • a gala dinner at the La Closerie restaurant.
