On July 1, 2026, members of the ICB laboratory gathered at the IUT’s Condorcet site in Le Creusot for another ICB Day event. The morning began with a general meeting led by Stéphane Guérin, the laboratory’s director. This session provided an opportunity to welcome and introduce three new members to the lab: Rofka Ramdani, Théo Torres, and Thomas Girardet.
The morning continued with a presentation on the laboratory’s carbon footprint. This session offered a chance to review ICB’s primary sources of emissions and to discuss practices and potential courses of action as a group.

After the morning’s work, laboratory members gathered for a friendly buffet lunch. It was an opportunity to continue discussions more informally and share a moment with colleagues.
The afternoon was dedicated to exploring various sites and activities in the Le Creusot area. Several groups were able to choose from a range of visits:
- the Blanzy Mining Museum, to discover the region’s mining history;
- the Château de la Verrerie;
- the laser facility and the CALHIPSO platform at the ICB;
- the Alstom and Industeel sites.
