Artificial intelligence is now at the heart of societal and economic transformations. To support this evolution and democratize its use, the University of Burgundy Europe (UBE) is embarking on a large-scale project: Caire (Citizen-oriented Artificial Intelligence training for a Responsive Education).
An ambitious program to democratize AI
The Caire project aims to train 28,000 people over five years, a significant challenge based on an innovative and inclusive educational approach. The objective? To dispel fears related to AI and make it a lever for positive transformation for all. As Christophe Cruz, professor and head of the Computer Science department at the University Institute of Technology (IUT) of Dijon-Auxerre, and member of the ICB Laboratory, explains: “It is first and foremost about demystifying this technology, making it accessible and understandable, so that everyone can benefit from it.” »
Strong Institutional Support
The project launch benefited from broad institutional support, exemplified by the presence of François Rebsamen, Minister of Territorial Development and Decentralization and President of Dijon Métropole, as well as Nathalie Koenders, Mayor of Dijon. AI is more than ever a national priority, supported by massive funding until 2030.
For Vincent Thomas, President of UBE: “Caire is a pioneering initiative that demonstrates our ability to address major societal challenges.”
A Key Project for the Future of AI in France
AI represents a major opportunity for many sectors, from education to industry and healthcare. Thanks to initiatives like the Caire project, citizens and professionals will be better prepared for the technological changes to come.
Congratulations to Christophe Cruz and the entire team involved in this exciting venture!
