With a view to interring Sadi Carnot, the physicist, in the Panthéon, a nomination has been submitted to the President of the Republic. Born in the Palais du Petit Luxembourg, where a commemorative plaque is dedicated to him, Sadi Carnot occupies a pivotal place in the history of science and technology. His work also maintains close ties with Burgundy, the ancestral home of the Carnot family. In this context, and in order to raise awareness of his work and to discuss his scientific and regional legacy, a meeting will be held on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at the Faculty of Science and Technology (Council Room, Mirande Hall – University of Burgundy Europe).
