The Industry 4.0 cross-cutting research area of the ICB laboratory organized two seminars during the first half of 2025, bringing together researchers and engineers to discuss issues related to the control and optimization of manufacturing processes.
January 30, 2025 — Seminar at UTBM (Sevenans campus)
This first seminar brought together 18 participants (12 in person and 6 via videoconference). Six presentations covered a wide range of topics central to the research area’s work, including:
Application of techniques to concrete and metals
Acoustic monitoring of processes
Thermal projection and substrate characterization
Signal processing, data fusion, and high-speed imaging
Feedback optimization and thermal behavior modeling
Process hybridization, geometry control, and digital twins
June 10, 2025 — Seminar in Le Creusot (Laser Hall)
This second meeting, bringing together 11 participants, focused on process control in manufacturing, with particular attention to measuring and controlling geometry during additive manufacturing.
The next Industry 4.0 seminar is scheduled for the end of 2025.
