Science bar: hand in hand to explore the world

Our society too often imposes, generally from childhood, the notion that art and science are two opposing approaches. Yet, this is far from the truth. Art and science can, on the contrary, work hand in hand to allow us to explore the world. Following Maëva Ferreira Da Costa’s residency at the ICB Laboratory (University of Burgundy Europe), works emerged from a fruitful collaboration, leading to the creation of this exhibition, “Are We There Yet?”.

To mark the occasion, a science café was organized at Le Singe en Hiver, focusing on the interactions between art and science, as well as science communication in these two fields. In a world adrift, where scientific discourse is often questioned, this interdisciplinary approach was considered a way to restore meaning in the face of misinformation and “alternative facts.”

The event was a great success, attracting a large and engaged audience, sparking numerous questions and passionate discussions.
