On Wednesday, February 5th, the Physics and Chemistry departments of the Faculty of Sciences and Technology opened their doors as part of the University of Burgundy Europe’s Open House Days. This event offered high school students, students considering a change of major, and science enthusiasts a unique opportunity to discover our programs and research areas.
The ICB: A Center of Excellence in Physics and Chemistry
The ICB Laboratory plays a key role in training scientists. Through close collaboration with several higher education institutions, it offers a wide range of programs from Master’s to PhD level. Our faculty, researchers, and students were eager to share their passion for science and present the advancements made within our laboratory. Specializing in physics, chemistry, and engineering sciences, the ICB is a driving force in scientific innovation, exploring cutting-edge fields such as photonics, advanced materials, and nanotechnology.
Experiencing Science
To offer an immersive experience into the daily lives of our researchers and students, numerous scientific demonstrations were offered throughout the day. Hands-on experience with equipment, real-time experiments, tours of the practical work rooms, and discussions with our teams allowed visitors to gain a better understanding of scientific concepts.
