Scientific Outreach

From research to society: understanding to progress

Scientific Outreach at the ICB Laboratory

The ICB is a major player in research in the fields of physical sciences, chemistry, and engineering. As part of its scientific endeavors, ICB is fully committed to scientific outreach, aiming to make science accessible to all while encouraging the exchange of knowledge between researchers, students, and the general public.

ICB’s scientific outreach is grounded in openness and sharing. We organize regular events such as conferences, exhibitions, and meet-and-greets designed to raise awareness among diverse audiences about current research issues. The goal is to spark curiosity and interest in science, demystify complex concepts, and encourage a meaningful understanding of scientific discoveries

We also collaborate with schools, cultural institutions, and associations to promote the engagement of young people and various local actors in the scientific process. From participating in events like the European Researchers’ Night to creating educational tools, ICB actively supports school visits through the “Une Classe, Un Chercheur” (“One Class, One Researcher”) program, enabling students to discover the world of research through direct exchanges with scientists.

In parallel, the laboratory supports artistic creation by hosting artist residencies, offering an inspirational space and fostering dialogue between art and science. These initiatives demonstrate our commitment to opening the doors of research to the public and promoting enriching interdisciplinary exchanges.

Through these actions, ICB positions itself as a place of scientific dialogue and creativity, aiming to strengthen the ties between science and society.
