Dominique Sugny studied theoretical physics at University Grenoble Alpes and Ecole Normale Supérieure of Lyon. He obtained his PhD in 2002 at the Laboratory of Physical Spectrometry in Grenoble, under the supervision of M. Joyeux. After a post-doc (ATER) in the group of O. Atabek at the Laboratoire de Photophysique Moléculaire (Orsay, Paris), he was appointed in 2003 as Maître de Conférences at the Université de Bourgogne in Dijon, in the group of H.R. Jauslin. He was appointed Professor in 2014. He has established many long-running national and international collaborations, particularly with S. Glaser’s group at TUM in Munich and D. Guéry-Odelin’s group in Toulouse. His domains of expertise are quantum control, quantum technologies, cold atoms, molecular Physics, optimal control theory and nonlinear classical and quantum dynamics.
